Speech and whispers#

Addressing someone by name still lets bystanders hear the words. Whispers keep the words private but show a cue to people nearby.

Vehicle occupants can whisper to one another. People beside the car see the cue; only occupants receive the words.

Actions and descriptions#

Close-range actions and descriptions have a shorter audience range. Shared dice rolls and chance results support scenes that need them.

Scenes around the systems#

People nearby can hear one side of a phone call. Passengers can notice engine symptoms, while a mechanic’s exact condition readings stay private. Parcel contracts can require another character to accept the delivery.

Chat settings#

Chat settings cover position, dimensions, font size, outlines and backgrounds. Category filters separate speech, actions, out-of-character chat and system messages.
